The ERIM Conference on Frontiers in Management Research, was held November 7th, 8th and 9th 2005, the conference brought together academics from some of the leading business institutes around the world, who shared findings from the forefront of management research. 

ERIM - a worldclass institute of management research

ERIM is the joint research institute for RSM Erasmus University and the Erasmus School of Economics, in Rotterdam. It is ranked amongst the top research institutes in Europe, and internationally-acclaimed as a leading institute in management research.

During the ERIM conference, presentations and keynote speeches will be made by scholars from universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Duke, INSEAD, and our own ERIM researchers on some of the most important issues shaping global business today.

The impact of behavioural science on economic theory

A broad theme of the event is the impact of behavioural science research on management theory. A world-renowned pioneer in the field - Professor Richard H. Thaler from the University of Chicago - has given the keynote address at the conference.

Richard H. Thaler has been conferred with an honorary doctorate from RSM Erasmus University on November 8, for his contribution to the field of behavioural finance.
